Looking to buy new wrist watch…leaning toward bulova, are they reliable?

Its time to get myself a xmas gift. I have been looking at watches for a couple months now. At first i was looking to spend anywhere from $ 400-$ 1000, as long as i got something that looked and felt of luxury. However, i visted a kay jewler and took a look at the bulova watch set. I liked the style of the watches and the prices were all under $ 600, with a much more expensive and exquisite look. My question is are they worth it? Would it be much different to spend 3-$ 400 more for a different brand?Im not necessarily looking for a diamond watch but i tried this one on and i really liked the look. It had some shine because of the diamonds and black interface but not too much(i think diamond bezels look tacky unless you have 5 + carats)

A $ 20 timex is reliable. Anything beyond that is simply what YOU like, as a piece of jewelry, which is what it is. Personally, that watch has absolutely no class at all. It is just plain gaudy. It looks like something some kid working at McDonalds would by from a street vendor so he could pretend he’s a pimpin’ mac daddy.
