I would like to be able to sponsor a child from another country and be able to send more then letters. I would like to send care packages too. And not just a care package where you shop their catalog and they get all the glory for delivering them… I’d like the family to know that I actually sent the gifts.

You do know it’s a charity and not a real sponsor don’t you? The child (if they exist) will get the interest from the money you pay the organisation – after costs.
