Hi
I have been in the corporate gift industry for 5 years and I have recently been offered shares in the company.
We are not doing that well. We cant afford to spend money on more advertising right now but we have a catalogue and a website. All I do is call up old contact and then do some cold calling as well. I am very profesional and good at what I do but we are still not making enough money. I appreciate your advice. Any inspiration, stories etc is welcome. thanks

Are the shares is place of salary or commission or are they a bonus in order for you to become a higher producer?
1st, don’t sit around waiting for people to look at your website and order
2nd, don’t rely on old contacts to keep ordering and
3rd, get out and network network network. Word of mouth and meeting people are the best ways to get free advertising.
As long as the company is still going to pay you in money, take the shares as well and don’t think twice about it.
